BEYOND THE PINK RIBBON The Women, Contributions & Courage That Changed the  Breast Cancer  Journey Every October, we see pink. Pink ribbons. Pink shirts. Pink walks. Pink campaigns. But behind the pink is something much more powerful: People. Women who faced loss. Survivors who found their voices. Researchers who refused to stop asking questions. Advocates who demanded that  cancer  research receive attention. And ordinary people who decided that someone else's tomorrow could be better because of what they did today. Their contributions matter. Breast cancer  is not simply a statistic. In 2026, approximately 321,910 women in the United States are expected to be diagnosed with invasive  breast cancer , while approximately 42,140 women are expected to die from the disease. More than 4 million women are living with a history of  breast cancer . Behind every number is a name. A mother. A daughter. A sister. A friend. A colleague. A grandmother. And beh...
