Honoring Suicide Prevention and Recovery Month Honoring Suicide Prevention and Recovery Month: Caring for the Whole Person September is a meaningful time to recognize National Suicide Prevention Month and National Recovery Month —two observances that remind us of the importance of mental health, connection, compassion, and hope. As a wellness coach, I believe true wellbeing means caring for the whole person —mind, body, emotions, relationships, purpose, and quality of life. When we support ourselves and others holistically, we create space for healing and growth. Creating Connection and Hope National Suicide Prevention Month reminds us that mental health conversations matter. People may be carrying grief, anxiety, depression, loneliness, or overwhelming circumstances that others cannot see. Sometimes, a simple check-in can make a difference.
