Gearing Up for Women Empowering the Next Generation



Gearing up to empower the next generation of women is truly memorable. It’s about paving the way for those coming behind us, helping them see new insights, learn valuable lessons, and grow with confidence and wisdom.

When I was sixteen, I asked my cousin—who was also a dear friend—to teach me how to wear makeup. Let me remind you, this was the 90’s! She introduced me to a sleek black eyeliner, applying it carefully around my eyes and even my lips, topped with a touch of lip gloss for shine. I was thrilled with the look and wore it for years.

Later, when I met some of my college classmates—including a makeup connoisseur—I learned more about foundation, eyeshadow, lipstick, mascara, and beyond. Suddenly, I had a whole box of makeup goodies to choose from! Even then, I was still figuring out how to use everything until I met a true “diva of makeup,” who introduced me to a whole new world of beauty techniques and creativity.

But this blog isn’t really about makeup—it’s about the impressions, experiences, and knowledge I gained from different women at different points in my life. Each of them offered insight, encouragement, and practical wisdom. And that’s the beauty of building connections with women from diverse backgrounds: their honesty and helpful tips can guide us through life’s challenges.

As women, we share many similar experiences, yet each of us develops our own unique way of tackling challenges. Perspective matters. For example, if I’m wearing one shoe, someone could say, “You only have one shoe on,” or “You only have one shoe off.” Neither answer is wrong—they’re simply shaped by different perspectives and life experiences.

That’s what empowering the next generation is all about: sharing wisdom, celebrating differences, and helping each other grow stronger.
